David M. Schreier is a partner and founding member of Schreier & Wachsman, LLP. Mr. Schreier has been practicing law in New York since 1983 following his graduation from the University of Michigan Law School. Mr. Schreier brings a unique and different perspective to medical malpractice and personal injury matters drawing on his past experience as a Park Avenue litigator at the prestigious and nationally known firm, Otterbourg, Steindler, Houston & Rosen, P.C., now known as Otterbourg. Mr. Schreier is able to obtain excellent results for the firm=s clients because of the preparation, diligence and unique strategies Schreier & Wachsman, LLP implements from the moment a case is accepted by the firm. Mr. Schreier has litigated and tried medical malpractice, personal injury, aviation, and commercial matters in the Federal Court and State Courts in several states, including New York, California, Michigan, Connecticut and North Carolina, as well as matters in the Surrogate=s Courts of the State of New York, including all five boroughs of New York, Nassau County, Suffolk County and Westchester County. In addition, Mr. Schreier has handled both personal injury matters and commercial matters in Arbitration forums in New York and California. Mr. Schreier has served on the pro bono panel for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and was a writer and co-editor of the Arbitration Newsletter published by the American Bar Association on Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mr. Schreier left the Otterbourg firm in 1993 and opened his own firm to practice in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury and commercial disputes. In 2010, Mr. Schreier joined forces with Marea L. Wachsman to form the partnership of Schreier & Wachsman, LLP. After a medical malpractice or personal injury case is accepted by the firm, Mr. Schreier attends all the hearings, examinations before trial, most court appearances and, if the case can not be resolved before trial, he is the lawyer who will try the case. Mr. Schreier is a transplanted New Yorker, having been raised in Birmingham, Michigan. Mr. Schreier received his B.A. in Political Science with highest honors in 1979 from the University of Michigan and earned his Juris Doctor in 1982 from the University of Michigan Law School.
